Yeah, that was kinda my impression.. the only reason for doing a clean-room
approach is if you're planning to sell it and don't want to pay royalties to
Sun..

This is a very good point! I don't work under those types of conditions, so I
tend to forget about that, but before working on any of this everyone should
definitely make sure this type of thing is out of the way or it could mean big
hassles for all of us..
