/Yeah, that was kinda my impression.. the only reason for doing a clean-room 
/approach is if you're planning to sell it and don't want to pay royalties to 
/Sun..

Even if IBM has theirs done now, we'd have ours on hobbes before
ibm gets theirs out the door.  Besides, I wouldn't mind doing it 
just for the experience.  Hypothetical question:  "Do you know
Java?"  Our answer:  "Well, I ported it to OS/2!"  :)
