Porting issues

Just thought I'd pass this along...an IBM developer working on the IBM Java
port said that some of the trickiest porting areas were the AWT classes and
garbage collection.  He also said that the AWT classes was one of the biggest
pieces of work.  Anyway, something to keep in mind as we review the source.
