ah-ha.... now i understand....
who 'owns' DCE?, is the source to be made available?, how much will it be?

if a public equivilent dosn't exist, maybe we should make one....
java threads do appear to be akin to pthreads, but a cursory look indicated
to me that it is simply a matter of mapping one to the other....??
maybe this is an over-simplification.... i 'spose i better actually go look
at the source... :-)
